Outlook 2007 is better

Overall I like Office 2007 but it seems Outlook 2007 was not finished before it was pushed out the door. It seems Microsoft was more interested in releasing on time then finishing the sofware.
My List of complaints include:
1. Terrible Send/Recieve bug, which takes forever to download mail that use to be very fast under Outlook 2003. (major)
2. CPU spikes which freeze the entire machine. (major)
3. No longer supporting animation in signatures or standard HTML for that matter. (minor)
I have installed Office 2007 on Vista and XP and have these results:
15 machines were painfully slow with Outlook 2007.
9 machines went ok.
Outlook is the center piece of the Office suite and as such should never have been released in this incomplete state. These issues were present in the beta but it seems Microsoft either didn’t know or didn’t care to fix them before the final. As always it appears that waiting for a service pack or two before upgrading is required. So does this mean that we will always have to wait 18 to 24 months after the final to finally get the polished version that should have been released in the first place?
PS: I have tried dozens of so called fixes for the first two major bugs and none have fixed the problems.
Update: Microsoft has released a [tag]patch[/tag] to fix some of the problems: Get the Patch
Update2: Microsoft has released service pack one for Office 2007: Get the SP1
